1.Counter-Flow Micro Heat Exchanger, WT-series The novel WT-series was developed as a heat exchanger for liquid/liquid, gas/liquid or gas/gas applications and can also serve for evaporation or condensation. They comprise a laser welded stack of arranged microstructured plates enabling a counter- or co-current flow scheme. Being assembled with conventional 1/4” or 3/8” tubes, easy integration into the existing tubing system of pilot- or small-scale production plants is possible. The core elements are chemicallyetched microstructured plates, sealedby high-precision laser welding. Thesenew heat exchangers are normally designedfor flow rates between 1 l/h upto 400 l/h; higher fl ow rates of up to1000 l/h are possible at moderate pressuredrops. The high efficiency andheat transfer coefficients of the microchannels are even more enhancedcompared to conventional heat exchangersdue to the low material thickness(low heat resistance) and highinner specific surface. The Tubular Heat Transfer Micro Device is a microstructured heat exchanger, designed for electrical heating of gases and liquids. The optimized size of this device allows a very fast heating up as well as fast changes of temperatures. (*The products shown in the MicroChem (Dalian) Co.
